Our latest screen printed decal sheet, Freightdog Models Post-War RAF Spitfires Pt1 in 1/48th scale [FSD48006] is now available, priced at £10.00.
The sheet includes options for six Supermarine Spitfires in Post-War RAF service.
Aircraft covered are MkIX's, ML124 GZ-S of 32 sqn and PV119 RG-Q, 208 sqn both Palestine 1947, PV119 on transfer to REAF in non-standard Egyptian roundels but retaining RAF codes, a high back Mk.XVIe TB287 8W-K, 612 sqn 1950, and Mk.21 LA328 RAG-J, 600 sqn at Biggin Hill 1947. To our knowledge this is one of the first decal sheets to include a Mk.21 option for use with the Aeroclub conversion kit. Bonus decals are also included for PV120 RG-W, 208 sqn, Palestine 1945 (codes, serials and rank pennant included but no roundels included for this option), Parts of RG-W were used to make Israel's first Spitfire. This is a limited print run of 200 sheets.
A 1/72nd scale version will be available within the next eight weeks, this will also include an additional four options, a natural metal Post-War PR.XI and three PR.XIX's, for use with the new Airfix kit.
