Description

Here is my Trumpeter 1/48 scale P-40B Tomahawk.

I found the kit to have excellent moulding with detailed and finely recessed panel lines. The model-kit represents the Curtiss P-40B Warhawk, flown by Pilot Officer Jack Bartle ( 112 Sqn - LG 102 R.A.F - Egypt, October 1941).

Built almost straight from the box, I chose the R.A.F. colourful marking choice.

I used Model Air Acrylics from Vallejo to paint the two desert colors camouflage. The colours were 71031 - Middle Stone and 71029 – Dark Earth, reduced with 71001 – White ( upper surfaces ). And 71089 – Blue Sea also reduced with white ( lower surfaces ).
