Uncovering the Boeing B-52 is Number 23 but only the sixth book released in the Daco Publishing “Uncovering the....” series and the latest addition to the range.

If you have not been fortunate enough to see one of these books in the flesh, they are basically of the photographic walk around genre except that they go one step further and provide coverage of the depicted airframes with their panels off.

There was a time when, if you wanted to do a good job in modelling any derivative of the B-52, you were pretty well on your own when it came to reference.  This book ends all that.

The photographic coverage starts at the nose with clever use being made of air-to-air shots as well as ground shots from all angles and this sort of multi shot treatment is given to remainder of the airframe with all parts being covered including a comprehensive treatment of the cockpit and electronic warfare stations.

The photographic record extends to the weapons carried by the B-52H and they are pretty well all included here as well as atomic weapons – this is the first time I have ever seen images of modern operational nuclear weapons let alone in full colour!

Being a photographic record, the forte of the book are the images and you will not be disappointed as all of them are in full colour and are both sharp and clear.

This book is soft cover format, measures 21cm x 24cm and comprises 84 pages in all and is a truly excellent photographic record of the B52H!
