Noy Pines has expanded his range of cardboard airfield base products with six new releases under the brand "Noy's Miniatures".

These are designed to be used as bases for model aircraft.

The newest bases cover 1980s NATO airfields and the distinctive Soviet Hexagonal concrete slad surface. These are all available in 1/144, 1/72 and 1/32 scales:

  • Item No. NM144004: NATO 1/144 scale (14.8 x 10.5 cm). USD$3.60

  • Item No. NM72004: NATO 1/72 scale (30.5 x 21.5 cm). USD$4.95

  • Item No. NM48004: NATO 1/48 scale (39.0 x 27.5 cm). USD$6.75

  • Item No. NM144005: Soviet Hex 1/144 scale (14.8 x 10.5 cm). USD$3.60

  • Item No. NM72005: Soviet Hex 1/72 scale (30.5 x 21.5 cm). USD$4.95

  • Item No. NM48005: Soviet Hex 1/48 scale (39.0 x 27.5 cm). USD$6.75

1/32 scale versions are available for order as well.

Although the NATO airfield is specifically noted as 1980s era, the print is sufficiently generic to use it in many other applications including general aviation and other military airfields.

The Soviet Hex airfields were used fromt he late 1930s, through the Second World War and right up to the present day in the USSR, Warsaw Pact and post-cold-war Eastern European applications.

Each tarmac product is presented in adequately stiff cardboard. The finish of the printed surface is appropriately flat.

The bases may be used straight from the bag as a cardboard base for photography, or might be glued to a piece of wood for a more decorative display.

Miliscale's tarmac bases are a simple and versatile way to display your Soviet and modern-era aircraft models.

Thanks to Noy Pines for the sample.
