FirstLook

This one-piece replacement seat for the 1/48 Monogram F-106 kit part is a beautifully rendered and cast scale facsimile of the real life version.

The undercuts and detail in the resin cushion and framework of the seat is fantastic and must be seen up close to be appreciated. The belts are casually draped over the seat cushions and the buckle clips are represented with finesse. The only clean up I can see is to open up the voids in the ejection handles at the seat sides.

My only criticism is the lack of a painting guide. Even a colour reference photo would have perhaps helped.

Conclusion

True Details has provided us a with a very simple, high fidelity replacement item for the kit part. I recommend it.
