These latest decals from Super Scale International come in an A5 zip locked bag with their full colour A4 instruction sheet. The decals are vibrant, in register, generally with minimal carrier film; in fact, it is nice to see that some of the more complicated decals like the intake warning markings along with various panel markings are all on one decal that will greatly assist with aligning the decals in this area.

The walkway markings are also great as these areas can be difficult to mask. The walkway markings on the left of the sheet (outline only) are actually on carrier film the width of the marking (about 1cm). This may have pros and cons. From my own experience with walkway lines with minimal carrier film is that they can stretch and are difficult to get into a straight line hence the extra carrier film should prevent this, the downside is the amount of carrier film that will have to be hidden on the finished model. Depending upon your decal settling solutions, this may not pose an issue.

Printed by Cartograf, these decals are recommended for the Academy 1/48 scale F-4B Phantom.

Conclusion

Highly recommended to all Phantom lovers this Phestive season.

Thanks to Squadron for the samples and composite images.
