Here is my Trumpeter 1/72 scale Tu-16 Badger G kit, built almost
straight from the box with only some minor changes of my own (cockpit,
landing gear...).

The "RICA" antenna is scratchbuilt from styrene. This antenna is
needed for Egyptian Air Force Tu-16Gs. The "Rica" was used for guiding "Kelt"
and "Kingfish" missiles.
The Egyptian Air Force mostly armed their Tu-16Gs with the AS-5 Kelt
missile but after the "Yom Kippur war 1973." they received only a few
AS-6 Kingfish.
Assembly and fitting is good with no major problems but dry-fitting is
necessary especially to align the engine components.
Panel lines were rescribed on the wings.
Clear parts are good quality. I painted them in Tamiya smoke grey for a
more realistic look.

My guide for painting the top surfaces of the model was Humbrol H74,
H78, H98 but using a Gunze color chart. The underside color is Life
Color F.S. 35450 "Air Superiority Blue".
Oil colors and dry pastels were used for weathering.
I really enjoyed building this interesting kit from Trumpeter.
