I am a proud member of our Portuguese Modelers Community at http://www.forum.modelismo-na.net and I bring to you a Portuguese Helicopter from the 1950s.
Is is the 1/72 Revell Sikorsky H-19 kit. There is also one from Italeri but the Revell one better represents the Portuguese version (mostly in the area of the tail).

I used the Eduard 72363 Photoetched detail set, which is very good. I built the engine from scratch.
The connection of the tail to the body also requires a bit of putty and sanding.
I painted my helicopter with Alclad II Aluminum over Tamiya Gray primer. I tested also over black bright enamel which results in a brighter natural metal finish, butit looked less realistic to me.

Decals are from http://www.santacruzmodelismo.com
At first glance this may not appear to be a very appealing kit, but as you go further it will grow on you and you will enjoy it very much. I think that you will be pleasant surprised.
