FAA Models has released two new accessories for Classic Airframes' 1/48 scale Fairey Gannet kit.

The first is a set of two wing-mounted drop tanks. These are simple tanks cast in one-piece each, with the mounts cast in place. The mounts include two resin pins to help locate them in the bottom of the wing.

Instructions are supplied on a small single sheet with text, a location drawing and a photograph of the tank fitted to the Classic Airframes' kit. Colour notes anre also provided.

The new FAA Models 1/48 scale Internal Weapons Set for Classic Airframes' Fairey Gannet has been designed to compliment their earlier resin weapons bay for the same kit.

This set comprises ten parts in perfectly cast cream-coloured resin, and covers two Mk.30 Torpedoes, two torpedo parachute packs, a mounting plate for the torpedo, one 5 pack of Sonar Buoys and four door-mounted flare holders.

All the parts are beautifully detailed an will be easy to assemble and intall. The five-pack of Sonar Buoys is cleverly cast in a single piece.

Casting blocks are minimal and flash is limited to a few whisper-thin pieces surrounding the blocks, so cleanup should be a breeze.

The instructions are compact but well done, with detailed directions for assembly and painting plus a list of references. An additional double-sided page of colour photographs is also very helpful as a painting and positioning guide.

FAA Models' 1/48 scale Fairey Gannet ASW 1/4 Internal Weapons Set will be a must-have for anyone who has already purchased he FAA Weapons Bay, and will really add some character to your Classic Airframes' Gannet. The wing tanks will also add some variety to your Gannet.
