Quickboost has released a replacement R-2800 engine for Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F4U-1 Corsair kits.

Trumpeter's Corsair engine is actually quite nice. It is well certainly well detailed but it is also a chore to build. The kit engine is made up of nearly eighty parts, which does deliver a good result but takes a lot of time to complete.

Quickboost's replacement engine provides clearly superior detail for the crank case, the cylinders and the spline, and it does so with only seven perfectly cast resin parts.

Push rods and the ignition harness are not provided, so you will need to add these yourself. Their absence will be quite noticeable in this large scale.

If you are contemplating Trumpeter's 1/32 scale F4U-1 Corsair kit, Quickboost's replacement engine will be a good investment.

Highly Recommended.
