IBN Editore's latest title covers the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch in Italian service.
This title is written by master-modeller and researcher Maurizio Di Terlizzi so it should not be surprising thay the book is tailored for modellers.
The body text and captions are all bi-lingual - Italian and English. The first Chapter covers general development and introduction into Regia Aeronautica service, continuing through a description of operations including perhaps their most famous employment during the rescue of Mussolini in September 1943. Missions behind the lines, in Co-Belligerant service and the post-war civil fate of several aircraft are also described.
The author continues with several deatiled model builds starting with the old ESCI kit in 1/48 scale. The new 1/48 scale Tamiya kit is also built and described in detail.

Next we are treated to a summary of camouflage and markings, which includes several lovely contemporary colour photographs.
The book is rounded out with colour walkaround photos of a restored example plus scrap view drawings, scale plans and tables showing the Storch in Italian service.
Whether you are a fan of Italian WWII avitaion in particular or the Fieseler Fi 156 Storch in general, this will be a useful title for the modeller of this famous aircraft.
