Skunkmodels of China has produced this 1/48 scale kit containing two weapons carts that may be built in four different configurations.  

The base of the trolley is of a standard type and can be configured with different racks to carry specific weapons. Skunkmodels has modelled the trolleys so that they may be built to carry many standard US missile and bomb configurations, but you will need to check your references to see which type of racking to use for the particular weapons that you wish to fit.

The parts are moulded in medium grey injection moulded plastic to a superb standard with nice detail.

Each basic trolley is made up from 25 parts with at least a further four parts to build the different configurations of racking.

The detail is so finely moulded that even the chequer plate platform detail and tie down rings have been faithfully reproduced.

Three figures are also included in the kit.  These are in the form of personnel performing manual handling for AIM 9 missiles.  Two male and one female figure (featuring a separately moulded ponytail) are included portrayed as carrying the missile at chest height.  All figures have convincing clothing and excellent facial details.

 

 

A colour instruction for the paint scheme of the missile trolleys is printed on the back of the presentation box. Gunze Mr Colour paint numbers are called out.

 

 

These trolleys are an excellent addition for the myriad of weapons that are now available on the market from various manufacturers.

Hopefully Skunkmodels will continue with their high quality mouldings of ground support equipment to enhance aircraft dioramas or to even just display aircraft weapons on their own.
