Here I want to show you my technique for detailing and painting the Eduard released Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 in 1/32 scale of I/JG27 from the “Battle of Britain”.
As well as the photo etched fret included in the kit, I also used the Eduard set 32219 and some parts from my spare parts box to scratch build some eye catching detail in the cockpit and radiators.

For the undercarriage, I used True Details resin wheels and combined them with etched parts and wire with different diameters.
The biggest act was to rebuild the wing guns. Here I milled the holes up to get the right position to assemble pipes with the right interior diameter. After that I filled putty around the milled places and sanded these.

For painting I used the Evolution 2 in1 from Harder & Steenback with a 0,15mm nozzle. Like always I used colors from Gunze-Sangyo, in this case RLM 04, 65, 02 and 71 to create these irregular breakout between the Camouflage and the sidewalls on this “Emil”, which was based in Guines/France in August 1940.
