Hasegawa's 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-2 is available online from Squadron
Here is my 20th completed model of 2013 - Werner's Wings' 1/32 scale Avia S-199 conversion.
This conversion was done on Hasegawa's 1/32 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-14, but the set provides a tall tail and other parts that will allow it to be used on the G-2, G-4 or G-6 kits too.

After cleanup and actually identifying the parts, the conversion itself was quite straightforward. Fit was excellent, with very little filler required - quite unusual for such a comprehensive transformation.

I used Barracuda Studios' 1/32 scale Bf 109 G-5/6/14 wheels, as Floyd Werner advised that the ones in the conversion are not correct for this aircraft. Although the S-199 had the large wheel bulges, apparently these were to accommodate the new wheel geometry of the regular G-6 wheels, not the wider G-10/K-4 wheels as supplied by Werner's Wings.

The only other aftermarket I used were Eduard's microtextile and metal harness straps and airscale instrument dial decals.

I replaced a few of the delicate resin parts with plastic strip and rod, while the DF loop, Morane whip and a few other bits and pieces were added from scratch.
This is a great conversion. It has sold out already, but Floyd advises that he will be doing a very limited second production run. I'll make a note on "What's New" when these are available.
I'll be writing this model up for a detailed construction article in Issue 35 of Military Illustrated Modeller, Aircraft Edition.
Thanks to Werner's Wings for the sample.
