Revells text accompanying this kit points out that the ASK 21 fills out a wide range of flying tasks. It´s used for beginners training as well as for cross country competitions; it proves it´s worth as an aerobatic trainer as well as learning cloud flying. The ASK 21 stands out as being easy to maintain and handle on the ground as in the air; it shows a rugged construction, making it an ideal mount for everyday flying…
Well, Revells text reads a little bit like an advertisement, but I found these statements fitting: it seems as if the qualities which should be characteristic for the original plane are counting for Revells issue as well.
The kit offers a wide range of modeling fun. The beginner will like the easy assembly of the few parts, and the more experienced modeler loves the possibilities to improve the medium level of details. I tried that with enhancing the seats harness by scratched belts made of metal foil.
Attaching the crystal clear canopy parts to the swivel arms is very tricky. In any case clear setting glue should be used…
Besides that, Revells ASK 21 is a easy to build and shows a rugged and clever construction, making it ideal for a fast and smooth build of something outside the mainstream.
