Eduard's 1/48 scale Bf 109 G-6 is available online from Squadron
This is Eduard's 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 finished as a G-14 in service with JG 53.
Regardless of the known dimensional and accuracy issues, the model is an absolute pleasure to build. Landing gear is always a key indicator for me, and the legs almost click into place on this model.

I had an ancient set of War Eagle decals in my collection for many years, and always wanted to use the markings for Black 253, a Bf 109 G-14. I was intrigued but doubtful by the suggested camouflage of RLM 81 Brown Violet and RLM 83 Dark Green. After discussions with artist Anders Hjortsberg, I agreed with his conclusion that the aircraft was most likely finished in RLM 74 and 75 greys.

Anders also created a couple of hypothetical profiles based upon the limited information available in one photograph of the front of the aircraft's fuselage. I based my scheme on one of Anders' profiles.
The model has been finished using Mr Color lacquers in the Testor Aztek A470 airbrush.

I really enjoyed building this kit, and a detailed guide to the painting and weathering, including Anders' profile, will appear in Issue 43 of Military Illustrated Modeller magazine.
Thanks to Eduard for the sample
