Description

 

Here is my Silver Wings Bristol Bulldog in 1/32 scale.

I have already made a Hawker Hart for Silver Wings so I am familiar with the way they set out their instructions. Last time I thought that the lack of numbering would create problems for the builder. But I now think that they are pretty easy to identify.

These kits are not cheap and experience is needed in building resin kits.

 

 

The only problem I had was to drill accurately the holes needed for the wing struts. There are some places where there is a slight indentation to guide the modeller. These are not always in quite the right position so careful lining up is needed. It is really not easy to line up a wing that has no definitive positions for the wing struts.
I used a rig that I purchased at Telford last year which did help but was not really very stable.

The rest falls into place nicely and builds up to be a spectacular model of the aircraft type that Douglas Bader crashed and lost his legs in.

We should really support these manufacturers who specialize in lesser known aircraft and Silver Wings are certainly approaching the top of their game.
