Tamiya's 1/48 scale Opel Blitz truck is available online from Squadron

Here is the new Airfix 1/72 scale Beaufighter finished in Xtradecal's markings (Item No. X72227).

I used Eduard colour photo-etch for the interior and their BRASSIN resin Hedgehog exhausts, Scale Aircraft Conversions' white metal undercarriage and Barracuda Studios' resin wheels. I also added the whip aerial on the spine and the nose "whiskers" from stretched sprue.

Building, painting and weathering this model will be described in detail in Issue 57 of Military Illustrated Modeller magazine.

1/72 is not my usual scale, but I must admit that I am eyeing off some more of these new Airfix kits now!
