          Conclusions: |
This is a most worthwhile detail set to enhance Mark I Models’ Wessex HC.2/HU.5 kit; but it may need a brain surgeon’s skill to apply in places. I am happy to recommend it. |

The PE Fret comes in Brengun’s standard card header with cellophane bag and instructions attached by staples. The instructions are well-drawn and easy enough to understand.
The parts address the cockpit quite extensively, given its very small size. But more importantly in my view, the PE caters for several external areas where its finesse will lift what is already a very good kit (I reviewed the broadly similar Wessex HC.2/HAR.2 kit by Mark I Models here on HyperScale). External details address the main and tail rotor hubs, the engine air-intake, the rescue winch for which a litter is also provided, tail wheel leg framework, windscreen wipers, and various antennae.

I have included a scan of the instructions that gives a clearer indication of the parts concerned. Some parts are truly tiny, so considerable care is needed when removing from the fret and fitting to the model.
Brengun also offer a PE detail set to suit Mark I Models’ Wessex HAS.3/31B kit as BRL144107 (although similar to the set reviewed here, it is about one-third more expensive for some reason).

Thanks to Brengun Models for the review sample.
