Hasegawa's 1/48 scale
P-40N Warhawk

This is my 1/48 scale Hasegawa P-40N-5 Warhawk with the markings of “White 21” from 74FS 23rd FG (Kweilin – China).  

This Warhawk (serial number 42-105009) was flown by Capt. Harylyn S Vidovich. Capt Vidovich who was a full-blooded American Indian despite his last name. His Warhawk was fitted with larger  30" x 10" early style wheels instead of  27" light weight late wheels, a common modification on CBI theater of operations.

The cockpit enhanced with Eduard PE instrument panel and a seat from True Details. Cockpit components were painted US Interior Green using Gunze acrylics.

The Department of Correction Seamless Air intake set was used in the nose section.

Lower surfaces were painted Neutral Grey and upper surfaces Olive Drab with Gunze Sangyo acrylics. Decals are from Zotz Decals, Ktem No. ZTZ48033.
