This is the 1/48 scale Bernard V.2 from Noix Models.
The plane hold the absolute world speed record on 11 December 1924 at 279 mph (448,771 km/h). It was built by the Société Industrielle des Métaux et du Bois (SIMB) founded by Adolphe Bernard in 1917, and was designed by the SIMB Chief Engineer Jean Hubert.

The resin and white metal kit was pleasant to build.

I have added some details in cockpit, and redone landing legs in plastic and renforced resin.

The aircraft was painted with Tamiya Silver Leaf (spray can) for the engine, and Tamiya X-11 Silver for the wooden surfaces.

The base was a printed concrete cardboard with some civilian figures from the french company MK35 Editions, tools from a Tamiya box and some scratch. It represent the plane the day before the speed record.
The cat looks like one of mine!
