This set provides various sizes of RAAF and RNZAF roundels. In the case of the RNZAF insignia, there are two roundel styles and five sizes of Silver Ferns.

The ferns are intended for use with RAF Type D roundels by superimposing them on the centre red centre of the roundel, as shown in the top-right of the header illustration above. The RAF Type D roundel decals will have to be provided from other sources, as only the tiny ferns are supplied.

In all cases the national insignia are in handed pairs, with the Kangaroo or Kiwi facing left or right, and the Silver Ferns inclined left or right.

The fern decals may also prove helpful for a few colour schemes that feature a Silver Fern on its own as an individual marking rather than as part of national insignia roundel.

The Decals

The decals are supplied in Xtradecal’s usual polythene zip-lock bag along with a header car illustrating the styles of insignia, decal application guidelines and a list of Xtracrylix paints.

The decals appear superbly well printed by Microscale Decals, with excellent colour density and registration.
