Azur FRROM's 1/32 scale
IAR-80A
by Brett Green

Meng's 1/48 scale F-35A Lightning II is available online from Squadron for USD$59.99
Here's my first completion for 2018 - Azur FRROM's new 1/32 scale IAR-80A.

I really enjoyed this build, and I had a lot of fun depicting the striking theatre markings and national markings over RAF Dark Earth and Dark Green.

This is a limited run kit so there are minimal locating aids and parts may need a bit more cleanup, but fit is generally good (always test-fit though) and there should be few major obstacles for anyone who has built a few short run kits before.

I added a Yahu instrument photo-etched instrument panel and SAC white metal undercarriage.

I also added instrument cabling, but the kit was otherwise built straight from the box.
Kit decals were used.
I have written this one up for a big article in Issue 84 of Military Illustrated Modeller magazine.
