Review Type:

First Look.

Advantages:

Brengun has produced some high quality resin parts of an unusual, but useful aircraft scene accessory.

Disadvantages:

Some flash to deal with.

Conclusions:

Brengun continues to give us aircraft resin accessories, though usually smaller scales, but with this large scale, high quality set they have certainly given the large scale modellers of Japanese aircraft a great extra.

FirstLook

Brengun has given us another interesting subject, especially designed for those modelling Japanese WWII aircraft. In this case the large scale Japanese fuel cart offers those modellers an interesting airfield accessory to add interest to their aircraft scenarios.

The kit has is a resin cast set with 12 parts. It comes in a small box, packed in tightly, in fact so tightly I found if nearly impossible to arrange to get it back into the box after photography. Maybe Brengun could afford to have slightly larger packing boxes to ensure no damage will be likely when packing their product.

The parts have excellent levels of detail, especially the hand pump section but, as is often found with limited run kits, has some small flash to clean up before construction, mainly with the wheels and fuel lines due to their complex casting moulds. I believe, whilst simple in parts count, some careful fitting will be required in its construction

The instructions are clear and leave no doubts to the placement of all parts. There are no colour call outs for any of this kit but the Brengun website does has a number of coloured built models to give you colour guides for the cart. I have downloaded a couple of these for you here to illustrate the final product.

Conclusion

I think Brengun has again hit the mark for an interesting and not often released Japanese aircraft accessory. For you Japanese large scale modellers with a Tamiya/Hasegawa Zero, Raiden, George etc in 1/32, this little kits will provide a wonderful addition to you presentation of those aircraft, adding that extra level of interest. I would recommend this to the Japanese air modeller and to anyone wanting a quick, fairly simple build kit even in its own right.

Thanks to Brengun for the review samples.
