The Hasegawa P-40 family of kits are some of the finest versions of the Warhawk ever kitted.  But like every plastic kit there are limitation to what they can mold.  That is where resin comes in.  This latest set for the Hasegawa P-40s from Vector is beautifully cast in light grey resin that is exquisitely detailed and free of any blemishes. 

Packaged in a zip lock bag with a product tag at the top, this set replaces wheel well detail for the main and the tail wells.  The big parts are the actual enclosed wheel well with the canvas cover installed.  The main gear doors are included as two pieces per door to show off the hollow portion of that door.  The side doors are also included.  The tail wheel well is covered over with a canvas cover and the rear doors are also included. 

Detail throughout the set is perfectly executed.  There are no instructions so you’ll have to figure out how to do the main gear doors but that is not difficult.  Everything else is pretty self-explanatory.  This little set, along with the other Vector sets for the P-40, just perfects the Hasegawa kit. 

Assembly is easy with superior results from minimal work.  That is something I can enjoy every day in an aftermarket resin set.
