Xtradecal has released a new 1/72 scale decal set with ten options for the brand new Airfix Phantom FG.1 and forthcoming FGR.2 kits.

Xtradecal has found eight different options with a good variation of unit markings.

Five aircraft are finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey with three in Camouflage Grey and Light Aircraft Grey.

One FG.1 and seven FGR.2s are depicted on the sheet. Details are as follows:

• FG.1 XV582/B 111 Squadron RAF Leuchars 1970s, DG/DSG/LAG;

• FGR.2 XT906/T 2(AC) Sqn RAFG Laarbruch 1970s, DG/DSG/LAG;

• XT912/912 6 Sqn RAF Coningsby June 1969, DG/DSG/LAG;

• XV403/A 54 Sqn RAF Coningsby 1972; DG/DSG/LAG;

• XV414/N 41 Sqn RAFG Gutersloh Sept 1976, DG/DSG/LAG;

• XT914/Z Combined markings of 56 and 74 Sqns RAF Wattisham March 1972, camouflage scheme Grey/LAG;

• XV466/D Desperation 1435 Flt RAF Mt Pleasant 1991 camouflage scheme Grey/LAG with white fin or

• XV421/F Faith 1435 Flt Mt Pleasant Sept. 1991 camouflage scheme Grey/LAG with grey fin. [F-4K/F-4M]

Five sets of national markings are included.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets. Both side plus upper and lower views are provided for all eight aircraft.

Colour notes are supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

This release offers a great variety of camouflage and markings for anyone planning to build the brand new Airfix 1/72 scale Phantom FG.1 and forthcoming FGR.2 kits.
