This set of decals covers the earlier versions of the Bf 109, mainly the E-7 and F-4 versions. The set offers markings for 12 aircraft, 8 for the E-7 variants and 2 for the F-4 variants. The decal set only contains the unit markings, numbers/codes and kill markings. You will need appropriate balkenkreuz, data stencils and other markings from your kit decals or other aftermarket sets.

The decals appear to have excellent register and are crisp and clearly printed. They seem to be thin and should settle down well. There is no printer name with these so I’m not sure of how they will react with decal solutions or their application to the model.

I really like decal companies that supply photo references with their decals, and Start decals has done that well.

A very interesting and well laid out set of decals and profiles from Luftfahrtverlag-Start for earlier Bf 109 E and F’s.

Thanks to Luftfahrtverlag-START for this sample.
