Review Type:

First Look.

Advantages:

Great etching quality with much fine raised and recessed detail that will look great under fine coat of paint. Only couple of complex folding tasks. Clear instructions.

Disadvantages:

None noted.

Conclusions:

This is a splendid set of parts that will help you turn a reasonably basic, but sound, kit into a show stopper inside and out especially if you can get hold of some vacform canopies to show it all off. Recommended.

FirstLook

Designed for the Roden kit, this 70 x 60mm fret provides a mass of finely etched parts to replace or enhance the kit parts.

This sort of sheet gives modellers those parts that photo etch best represents - lovely radiator grills, seat backs, guards, machine-gun shields, propeller bosses, wheels and frames that are much finer than any plastic mouldings can provide. Instructions clearly indicate the areas that have to be modified or parts replaced.

A small clear printed acetate sheet for the photo-etched instrument panel is also included.

Some parts are very fine so care will be needed separating them from the fret - inside a clear plastic bag is my suggestion.

This sheet will certainly enhance what is a pretty impressive kit and is highly recommended.

Conclusion

This is a splendid set of parts which will help you turn your kit into a show stopper inside and out.

Recommended.
