The use of the Space set will result in a different look for your Eduard's 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk.XVI cockpit.
If you have the Weekend Edition or Overtrees Edition of Eduard's 1/48 Spitfire XVI that do not include photo-etched parts, these will be even more valuable.
There's certainly no lack of choice when detailing a cockpit these days! |

Eduard has just expanded their range of accessories for their 1:48 scale Spitfire family.
This new SPACE set comprises 3D printed decals for the seat backrest, cabling, instrument panels and placards; plus photo-etched parts for the half-tone harness straps, oilot's armour and other small details.

I used SPACE sets earlier this year on my Eduard Fw 190 F-8 and Bronco MiG-15 and I was very pleased with the results.

The 3D printed decals look really good in real life - better than my much larger-than-life studio photos!
I found that the 3D decals barely needed to be wet at all before they would slide - or sometimes fall - off the backing sheet.
In the end I did not dip the 3D Decals in water at all - I simply popped them off with the tip of a hobby knife.

These photos show the Fw 190 F-8 SPACE set in action on my Eduard 1/48 scale Wurger.

I used Gator’s Grip acrylic glue to secure the 3D printed decals to the plastic kit parts.

Detailed instructions are included.
