Here are three new Eduard releases for Great Wall Hobby's big striking 1/32 scale Hawk 81-A2 kit.

Eduard offers the choice of two photo-etched sets and a ZOOM upgrade:

 

33297 - Hawk 81-A2 Photo-Etch ZOOM

This is Eduard's ZOOM photo-etched fret for the Great Wall Hobby 1/32 scale Hawk 81-A2, comprising one pre-coloured fret.

 

 

These contain detail parts for the instrument panel and smaller cockpit details.

 

 

Instructions are included.

 

 

33298 - Hawk 81-A2 Seat Belts STEEL

Eduard offers a set of STEEL harness straps for the GWH Hawk 81 pilot's seat.

 

 

Colours look good and the straps feature half tones for realistic shadow areas.

 

 

Anoher nice touch is that the fret has colour printing on both sides. This is especially useful for the straps and pull handles.

 

 

Although the STEEL label makes these sound rigid, they are in fact very thin and flexible.

3DL32006 - Hawk 81-A2 SPACE for Great Wall Hobby kit

This SPACE set comprises 3D printed decals for the instrument panel, placards and smaller details, plus photo-etched parts for the two-tone harness straps gunsights and more.

 

 

I used a couple of SPACE sets last year and I was very pleased with the results.

 

 

The 3D printed decals look really good in real life - better than my much larger-than-life studio photos!

I found that the 3D decals barely needed to be wet at all before they would slide - or sometimes fall - off the backing sheet. I used Gator’s Grip acrylic glue to secure the 3D printed decals to the plastic kit parts.

For what you get, I think USD$13.56 represents exceptional value for what you get here.

 

 

 

Conclusion
