This set of parts comes in a clear bubble pack with a card backing. No instructions are given but the bits will just replace the relevant kit parts.

Cast in white metal and designed for the new Airfix kit, this is a twenty-two piece set of rigid parts to strengthen the undercart of your model, especially if you have loaded it up with resin and PE material that could over-stress the plastic parts and the inherent weight of the kit anyway.  I presume these parts will fit the older version of the kit as well with minimal modification.

One oddity is that I counted 22 parts but the retraction jacks are numbered 26 to 31, 34 and 36! Weird, except that they may replicate the Airfix numbers for these parts, but not having the kit handy I cannot check.

 

 

The parts are very cleanly cast with barely a trace of a seam to clean up, and the hefty main units look just great.. The smaller pieces are surrounded by large rectangular ‘sprues’ to protect them. Details are sharp and well-defined.

This set comes recommended for those of you who want to build one of these kits, but don’t forget to prime the part with a metal primer.
