Resin2detail produces 3d printed resin parts in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scale for a wide range of WWII aircraft upgrades.
Today we will be looking at their Quick Fix R-1830 engine front.

The Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp was fitted to a wide range of WWII fighters, bombers and transports including the B-24 Liberator, Catalina, P-36 Hawk, C-47 Dakota, TBD Devastator, F4F Wildcat, Lockheed Lodestar, Martin Maryland, P-43 Lancer, Sunderland, P-35, Vultee Vanguard, Australian built DAP Beaufort, CAC Boomerang and CAC Woomera and more.
The production run of 173,618 R-1830 examples makes it the most-produced aviation engine in history.
They don't come much simpler than this. The engine front is supplied as a single 3D printed resin part but this does not imply any lack of detail.

To the contrary, detail on the engine front is exquisite.

The super-detailed Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Fast Fix engine front includes intricate ingnition harness wiring, detailed crank case, magnetos and splined propeller shaft.

There is very little, if any, cleanup at the back of the engine.
RESIN2detail's R-1830 Quick Fix engine upgrade will deliver a real improvement in detail at a reduced effort on the modeller's part.
You won't have any difficulty preparing and installing RESIN2detail's 3d printed engine if you have worked on 3d conversions before.
This engine is a must for anyone adding detail to their B-24 Liberator or other R-1830 powered aircraft.
