Hi-Decal, 1/48 & 1/72 scales

Hi-Decal has announced a timely new decal sheet that will be available in 1/48 and 1/72 scale:

With the announced release of a new boxing of the beautiful Airfix Sea Fury, we have the pleasure to announce a new sheet dedicated to this legendary aircraft. The upcoming sheet contains markings for several export users of the Hawker Sea Fury. Based on year long research and including new, previously unknown data, the sheet offers to the modeller correct and complete markings for colorful and historically interesting planes that were till now not available in decal form:

HD48037 & HD72041 - Hawker Sea Fury / Fury / Baghdad Fury

• Egyptian Air Force very first Fury ( former G-AKRY demonstrator ) in sand & brown desert camouflage. Used in combat during the first Palestine War, this aircraft scored the first confirmed aerial REAF victory in June 1948.

• Egyptian Air Force in aluminium overall, used in combat against Israeli forces in the Sinai on 30 and 31 October1956

• Iraqi Air Force in sand & brown desert camouflage, detached to Syria  and transferred to the REAF in October 1948, used in combat during the Palestine War and credited with an aerial victory in December,

• Iraqi Air Force in sand & brown desert camouflage and special markings in 1955,

• Pakistani Air Force target tug in sand & brown desert camouflage and high-viz  black/yellow undersides, in 1960,

• Pakistani Air force in dark green & ocean grey camouflage, in 1957,

• Moroccan Air Force ( former Iraqi a/c) in sand & brown desert camouflage.
