It’s all about control.
Painting any figure can and is, a difficult task. The problem has traditionally been holding the figure while painting . The old school method was to mount it on a pin and then proceed to paint. The problem is, when you proceed, how do you put it down while the paint dries?

I usually use Blu Tack for that, but there are many alternatives. Model work holders are the key and I’ve never invested in one. But when this one arrived on my desk this morning, I thought to myself, why in heaven’s name have I put purchasing this tool off for so long ?
For me, it’s a game changer and I readily noticed the benefits.

Like many others this one has a rounded off square handle with a pivoting central attachment point for two diameter pin holes tightened via a thumb screw. I’ve attached two items I’m currently working on to show the versatility of the product, the first a modified 1/48 scale figure and the second the stowage for the said project.

Liang make two sizes and the one depicted is the smaller of the two.

I can see a range of possibilities with this product outside its intended figure painting market . The larger one for instance could possibly be used for a smaller 1/48 scale vehicle.

This is one of those products that has many uses.
