P-40N Radio Compartment

Eduard has released a swathe of related accessories in their BRASSIN range in conjunction with its new-tool 1/48 scale P-40 E, K and N kits

One of these is examined tonight - a detailed Radio Compartment for the interior of the rear fuselage.

Eduard's BRASSIN 1/48 scale P-40N Radio Compartment comprises nine 3d printed resin pieces, six photo-etch parts, plus instructions.

Casting quality is perfect on my sample. The large interior sidewall sections and the radio equipment will be easy to remove from their fine strips and honeycomb supports. A razor saw, a new hobby blade and a measure of patience should do the trick.

The compartment hatch is a multi-part resin sub-assembly.

The interior sidewall detail is impressive.

Four radio sets wiring, boxes, a case and more are also included.

A small photo-etched fret rounds out the parts package. These are hinges for the fuselage radio hatch.

You'll need to source some wire for interior rigging.

Detailed instructions are supplied.

Eduard's BRASSIN Radio Compartment is a fairly straightforward upgrade for your Eduard P-40N, and a nice way to customise your model.
