FirstLook

Eduard introduced a new line of 3d printed aircraft seats in the last few years with integral straps and hardware printed in place.

The latest in the series covers the recent 1/72 scale Spitfire Mk. I/II/V kits from IBG.

The potentially delicate seat is carefully taped onto the floor of a crystal case.

The one-piece seat looks fantastic. I particularly like the 3d-nature of the straps themselves. They look very convincing and they will lend character to your cockpits.

The detail of the Sutton harness and associated hardware is particularly impressive in this small scale.

My samples are printed perfectly with no striations or other imprefections present anywhere that I can see, even under the magnification of photography.

The narrow strips between the bottom of the seats and their printing bases will be familiar to anyone who has worked on 3d printed parts.

A small photo-etched fret is also included. This supplies the upper shoulder harnesses and anchor strap.

Cleanup will be fast and easy.

Instructions are included.

These are a great addition to Eduard's range and I hope that we see expansion into even more new subjects and scales soon!

Thanks to Eduard for the review samples
