Ventura Publications has sent the following information and images on their newest decal releases for RNZAF PV-1 Venturas in 1/48 scales. They are available now from Ventura Publications web store for USD$15.00 plus shipping.

1/48 scale decal sheet with four options:

• NZ4509, "Little Devil with trident" October 1943,

• NZ4516, "Mickey Mouse" October 1943,

• NZ4508, "Crouching Maori Warrior", February 1944,

• NZ4512, "Slippery Sam", February 1944.

NZ4506 and NZ4509 wore the US Navy Blue Grey and Light Grey scheme, which has been modified in New Zealand by extending the Blue Grey further down the fuselage sides.

NZ4512 and NZ4516 wore the US Navy ‘Basic (Non Specular) Camouflage Scheme’, often unofficially referred to as the ‘Three Tone Scheme’ in the RNZAF.
